What does everyone do with the original emblems, do you relocate them or just remove them. Two different style wings i have looked at interfere with the original placement of the "5 Speed" , "Datsun", and "280Z" emblems.

My husbands train of thought was/is if you are going to alter/modifiy or customize the lines of the Z then the badges should be removed for that nice clean, smooth look. Obviously, if the mod or in your case, the wing is going to affect the emblems then you need to remove them or think about a different type of spoiler that allows for the badges.

I personally like the badges but they look out of place on a custom car. Stock or semi-stock OK but modified, not my cup of tea.

To each his own, that's the beauty of designing your own look :classic:

also doing away with the big bumpers so guess it dont matter, waiting for the last replacement part for this MSA aerokit to show up, had to send 2 diff peices back !

then off to body shop!

My emblems are located on the spoiler like in the shot TexasZ linked to. There is a shot of it in my gallery. But I'm thinking about taking them off for the smooth look. In the end it's your choice.

I like what Ron has done. I don't think the angled DATSUN on that hatch works well when you try and put it vertical on the rear spoiler.

Maybe just the 240z part on the BRE tail i've seen that a few times. Personally I like the badges on the Z i find my Z looks kinda naked without them the PO took them off when the car was sprayed approx 12+ years back.

I particularly like the bonnet badge myself and the side DATSUN badges on the front fenders i think they are the most important.
