SO i just got a quote today for ALL wiring RE-DONE on my Z

for those of you who DO NOT know... this is my Z's wiring:

Anyway... all wiring will be replaced, redone, and put back tos tock, or aftermarket (in case of the headlights which are H4 conversion).

I was going to do this all by myself.. however... I am just too lazy and school has consumed me, and I REALLY NEED a safer car to drive.

So... the estimate came out to $550, which I will pay, i have $40 right now and my dad will pay difference, but he is not happy.

SO... I have offered my dormmates an opporunity/investment chance of a lifetime.

Just in case you can't read the document says:

REASONS FOR DONATING:

I, Roy, will give you 1 free ride just about ANYWHERE in the LA area with your donation. Along with that ride, I will provide HUMUROUS entertainment.

Consider your donation an investment to the cause… My car gets YOU places, but instead of paying for gas LATER you pay for gas NOW… and you get to drive in a

SAFE CAR

When you want that ride.

daily update of whiteboard for new amount needed will be done, and once all of my roomates leave or no one is around, cup will be removed, and donations can be put under the door.

So far... 3 donations.

Well... this made me laugh, hope it does too.. and realize, there are poor Z owners out there that need help

thanks for watching,

Roy

Oh, the college days......the days when money was scarse and babes were plentiful. I remember actually overhauling the 289 in my 1965 Mustang under the car port (my parking spot). Alot of moving tools and stuff around everytime I worked on it. One of my favorite memories was the usual trips my bubbies and I took over to the stewardess school dormitories......so many womwen....so little time!:smoke:

Nice, Roy, I had a 1970 240Z when I was a freshman in college in 1971. Believe me, I gave lots of rides, but the first requirements were, female and fine...frequently I was blessed to have two fine young things in the front. BTW, I think you mean "humorous entertainment." Good luck with the fund drive for the fun drive.

Bemmerguy, how can you tell the difference between a porcupine and a BMW? The porcupine has pricks on the outside. OK, I drive a 76 2002 daily, own 87 325, 86 735, 85 635, and '04 MINI S, and the 635 guts are going into my current 70 240Z project. Later, Jim

Nice. Glad to hear someone in this forum has a love for bimmers too. I was thinking of doing that swap. The 635, also known as the M30. Very nice. I was also thinking it wold be cool if someone dropped a M6 (S38) engine in there (talking about the older body style not the new ones that just came out). With 6 individual throttle bodys and 24valves. That thing is a beast. But the M30 will definitally be a screamer. And with all that room maybe a turbo can find its way in that engine bay! :classic: Keep me updated. I defenitly want to see this.

Still at it. The 6 is totally stripped, except for cutting the roof off. I'm keeping the sunroof, maybe for the Z. Engine and trans are sitting in the Z not yet firmly mounted; had to dig into the firewall more than expected, but seems it will work. Diff will be a bit of work to get it in the right position, LS 3.46, so it's stubbier than the R180. Need to borrow a digital and post a couple of photos. I figure the 3.5 L6 with low compression would be a good candidate for SC or turbo. M's are great, but $$ I don't have, and the 635 I do. Or, after I get the worms worked out, an M would drop right in.
