Z Concept Feedback

Sulla

Recommended Posts

I am just starting working on some concepts for a new Z concept. After getting to something I like I will do a full rendering but I thought I would start getting some feedback now. Attached are a couple of very early images. Feedback and suggestions would be very helpful.

I know what you mean about it almost looking to much like the original. Its a fine line between a modern interpretation and a direct copy.

Still working on more ideas and looking to see what kind of feedback I get then we will see what comes along.

How about making it a bit longer by adding a little to the rear while following the contour of the curve over the roof and across the hatch, even up to a couple of feet.

Another "How about" is to add retractable headlight covers that slide up over the front or rear of the headlights.

Bravo I can stretch the rear out some but from playing with it earler it looks OK but not much like a z for some reason. When I get a chance I will post an image of one with a longer rear. Also we can do the popup headlights if we do that we can just keep the nice smooth front shape of the car without the exposed headlights. I dont like the ones on it now anyway.

Thinking of headlights we could just go completly retro like the new mustang end just make scoops with covers like the original one. What do you guys think?

Yes Bravo does not look at much like a z. Whats funny is when I set down to just do some drawing I tended to come up with something that looked like a Ferrari like the kits for the Z:) I think thats what I really liked more than the Z. See attachments to see what I tend to lean to in a Z design. Not a Z but pretty.

I always thought the "German Vette" was interesting!

The rotating assembly could be made to look very much like a Z with painted headlight covers whenm the lights were in the "off" position, and like a Z with clear covers in the "on" position-only the transition activity would give it away.
