candyorangez,

You want to learn about Zeds ?????? you've come to the right place mate.

I suggest the first thing you do is check out the threads in the tech section.

The odds are you'll find whatever you're looking for. If not, then post your question. You can be sure someone will be able to help you out.

Rick.

Also, buy a manual or two that pertains to the car you own. You can get Haynes manuals for about $10-$14 on eBay. Chiltons, or Clymers manuals are also good. The best one and most expensive would be a Factory Service Manual (~$80)

A lot of questions can be answered with a little reading, and the pictures and diagrams are invaluable to someone learning about, and working on your car.

first thing I'd do is ignore Chickenwafer

We were all there at one time...you can read all you want about something but you know nothing until you start 'doing' it....

ie. you can learn to play piano by reading a book, but until you tickle the ivory it doesn't mean anything.

1st priority was to have passion about the Zed, now the rest is up to you.

Welcome!

Yea, chickenwafer's comment was out of line.

I bought my first Z not knowing a single thing about it. I liked the car because it looked really cool and had some power to get a little frisky.

IN FACT, I knew so little about this car that I created a mailing list that still exists today (see 240z Mailing List from the main menu). I created the mailing list for completely selfish reasons actually... I didn't know anything, so, I wanted to bring a bunch of guys together so we could all talk about these cars together. The selfishness comes with the fact that I wanted this so I could work on my own car based on advice from these guys. Anyway, next thing you know... we have THIS website and thousands of visitors per day.

All of this because I didn't know SH*T about my Z. :)

so im not the best with cars its not a big deal, i bought it to learn... also what im here for

Sorry, the comment wasn't meant to be mean. I'm very happy that you want to know more and learn about Z's because these are greats cars. I was just making sure you weren't one of those punks who comes around and is like, "Dude, tell me what to do to my car to make it fast!" or "Can you add noss to these bitches??" I replied without looking at the 2nd page (I didn't see the 2nd page tab until after I replied).

You want to learn more about Zeds that's awesome and welcome to the forums! I just wanted to make sure you won't a posuer, that's all.
