Ok first off I did a search and found one thread about different Gross Vehicle weights on the door jamb plaque.

BUT have you ever actually weighed your car?

Today I did so at the local dump. My 1/71 build date car weighed 2420 with me in it. I weigh 185 so thats 2235. I then went and filled the tank and it took 13 gallons, so the weighing was done with about 3 gallons on board.

I didnt know if it would be that light with the period slotted mags and larger tires

The first Road and Track article on the Z gave an unladen weight of 2238.

AFAIK, there weren't many, if any, topics including gross weight, but there are a bunch about people discussing the weight of their cars. Maybe you couldn't find one.
