Mystery Konig Silver wheels for free! will they fit?

my friend is offering me free wheels for my Z. they came off his old grand am. they are konig 6 spoke's that are a silver color, with a deep groove down each spoke.

we went to put them on today, and BAH! they dont fit. the tire rubs against the sidewall, and the lug studs dont even reach the wheel (by about 1 inch.)

well the tires mounted on them are P205-65-R15's, and the wheels themselves are 15x6.5 JJ.

on the back of them, they've got an "00" on one spoke, "10" on another, "No.099" on another. i dont know what the "ofset" is....

will these wheels fit with ease if i get a "spacer" for it? you can tell, ive rebuild an entire Z but i have NO idea about wheels and tires. i knew i would ask questions when it came time. :paranoid:

Ok guys, it looks like they are Konig Verdict's. They only come in 40mm ofset, so that means i need a 40mm spacer, right? the modern motorsports one? http://www.modern-motorsports.com/catalog/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=&products_id=6

what will happen when i switch springs, cause soon im going to get either tockio springs or the MSA springs. ohh jeeze. im lost. damn wheels and tired.

spudea, he gave them too me! i helped him change out the break system on his toyota T100 and he gave me these. (got him $400 worth of parts for free). i cant just sell them on ebay. we both cant wait to see what they look like.

im going to paint that ridge in the center of the spoke gunmetal greay. besides, i allready bought the adapters!

thanks for reply though.

Yeah I'm sure. I was thinking that since the spacer was moving the wheel out 40mm that you would lose 40mm of the lug nut studs, but thats wrong because the spacer has the studs on it. :) You sure those wheels will fit the 4x100 bolt pattern?

They are far better looking than what you have now! :bunny: Once on the car they could look pretty H O T :-) I do believe that spacer will allow those wheels to fit.

Wait a minute! In your previous post (which you have since editted) you said you didn't like the wheels, that in your opinion they didn't look good.

Now it's all sweetness and light??? How about a little honesty when posting. Can't have it both ways!

I changed my mind. (that is what the edit button is for right?) I made a split second decision on them because I have a pre-concieved notion that panasports > every other wheel. But with that notion out of the way and after imagining them on the car, I think they are very sweet. And I spend way too much time on zcar.com which makes me prone to "bringing down" people for no reason. :) Plus they are FREE. I would put those on my car in a heartbeat! untill I could afford 16"/17" panasports.

2. not necessarily, but OK

3. Panasports do look nice. Too bad everybody and their brother has them.

4 Oh, so you are one of those "bad boys". LOL

5. Free is always good, but opinions differ. They are too RICE for me. I'd sell them and get something else.
