are you talking about a 1991 240SX? if so, they are decent cars. first off, they have back seats. second, they have a 2.4L KA24DE truck motor (mildly torquey, but not a performance motor) that is a 4-cyl. the datsun 240z had a 2.4L inline six. other than the fact that they are both 2.4L RWD, there's not much that they have in common. the 240sx platform is a popular base for a SR20DET (turbo 2.0L, stock 180SX/silvia motor) or a ca18DET (turbo 1.8L).

it's more a passenger car, less a sports car.

the 240z was made from late 1969 to 1973.. 1974 and 74.5 was the 260z and 75-78 was the 280z. then came the 280zx, 300zx, and 350z. i think you are talking about a 1991 240sx.. which would be a completely different car powered by a ka24de four cylinder. the 240z was powered by a l24 inline 6. a 240sx is an awesome car. is it a coupe or hatchback? im about to drop a sr20det into my friends 89 hatchback 240sx.. good luck

no prob ;) anyway, it should be a 240sx. as far as it being an automatic: if you wanted to swap in a better motor (SR20DET) then just swap out the tranny at the same time. it's not TERRIBLY difficult, but i recommend having somebody around that knows what they're doing.

before you do any repairs on the battery, you might want to look into the cost of the silvia front end conversion. it's a pretty popular swap, and since you already have damage it wouldn't be a waste

yup is a 240sx... i aint got the money for the silvia fron end conversion, or are they cheap. Do u got a wedsite where i can look at it... i got a friend who lives in the other side of the block who takes care of our car painting and any damage part for 300-400 bucks with top line paint. But that silvia fron end conversion looks sweet. let me get a wedsite addy so i can see the pricess, and see if i can afford it. I also will be looking for rims, tinted windows, and sound system. what are the bigges rims size u can have in the 1991 240sx?

Also at first i was gonna trade the car with my bro, but once i took it for a drive test, i change my mind....
