Yep, I'm not fighting it. I'm just preparing. It looks like my roadster has a couple of good hits and my bike is also taking hits from the ad I placed in the local cycle trader.

Ya baby...... I hope to be rid of these soon. I'll keep you posted.

3 & 6 are gonna be gone this summer.

I need a bigger garage.

Have you hit the 300km mark on the Hayabusa?

300km total miles or kmph? I've had it up to 150mph, but, I don't know what that conversion is.

150mph is all I have the balls for at this point. I'll work my way up 10mph at a time. :)

It's a little difficult to keep your head tucked at that speed.

Hmm, guess it depends on how far down you are trying to tuck yer head.

You know the old saying "place your head between your legs and kiss yer butt goodbye". Wonder if you'd have time to do that at 150.

There's not much time to do anything at 150+ mph. You know 2mZ, I get the feeling you want me to live. ;) Don't worry, I'm not to the point where I'll go crazy yet. I don't go 150 that often. And, besides... the drivers up here in Oregon are much different than the CA or even southern drivers for that matter. The roads are usually clear and everyone drives slow.

I don't think anyone should own a race bike until they hit age 30. Too much craziness before that age. Well, at least for me.

Anyway, maybe this 300ZX TT will make me want to sell my Hayabusa. I just love to ride too much.

There's nothing like the open air, shifting gears, and the power between your legs. Oh wait... I guess I'm used to it even w/out the bike!! :D (get it... all that power between... forget it)

(looking around for applause)

Yep I agree with you Mike....I brought the first ever RGV250 model on the day of first release from the Suzuki dealer when I was 19......rode it off the side of a small cliff 3 days later....I sold that bike some 1.5 years on as I knew that I'd have to get rid of it or it would get rid of me....too much power and not enough mind power to stop using it all the time.

Now I'm 34 means that I can get another one.....I made a deal with the wife...either a 748/996 or a 240Z.......I'll get the Zed first then dream somemore about the Ducati.

Ahh yes, the Ducati. I would love to own one. I almost purchased a SuperSport (cheaper), but, decided to get the Hayabusa because it is so unique. I only like to buy things that have character and speak to me in some way. I know that sounds bizarre. But, I just can't justify anything that has no character.

I love the Ducati's because they sound so wonderful. But, good choice on the Z. You can get your Duc in a few years. :)

Well Mike, it's like this. I had a street bike for years, and the longer I rode the faster I rode. Last street bike I had was a brand new 1884 Honda Interceptor 500 (while ago huh?) and the more I rode that little crotch rocket the more times I had to do "evasive" manuevers around little old ladies, animals (ever hit a groundhog at 70mph?) and all did all sorts of crazy stuff. Yup, they are addictive, but today they are just a little too dangerous for me, I felt a hell of a lot safer on the race track in my 280.

I traded the Interceptor for a dirt bike in 86, had that for a year, longer I had it, faster I rode it until the darn trees and big rocks started "jumping' out in front of me. Needless to say I don't own a bike anymore. Bikes today would be just too much temptation to ride like I used to. Part of getting older I guess, the "self preservation" mode kicked in a few years ago.

I don't feel safe on the highways today in a 40 ton tractor trailer with all the traffic, people on cell-phones, and the like. But if I still lived up north where I could ride a snowmobile, I'd have to have the fastest one on the market!!
