Tire preferences for 14x7 rims

For those of you with 14 x 7 rims, what are you doing for rubber? I'm not finding any performance tires available in my prefered size of 215/60-14. My '73 is a weekend/occasional track day car only - it doesn't come out when wet or worse so all I care about is dry performance. As it's not a daily driver tire wear doesn't matter too much, as long as it's not ridiculously short.

I really like my Enki 92 black mesh rims and don't want to get rid of them.

I often use this site to compare manufactures sizes, ratings, and <a style='text-decoration: none; border-bottom: 3px double;' href="http://www.serverlogic3.com/lm/rtl3.asp?si=24&k=customer%20reviews" onmouseover="window.status='customer reviews'; return true;" onmouseout="window.status=''; return true;">customer reviews</a>. I like the price & performance of the Toyo Proxes RA1 225/50/14, good track tire.

or if you prefer drag racing?

Each Mfg. may not have the same sizes, but close.

I'll second that recommendation. I'm also running a set of the Yokohama ES100's on my 240Z. However, mine are 215-40 x 17" (front) and 235-40 x 17" (rear). Damn good high performance street tires...and they are relatively cheap too!!

Those Toyo RA-1's suggested by Craig are damn nice tires. A little expensive but they do last a while and are grippy. Great tire.

Also, the new Michilen PS2 touring came out. I think they make it in a 14 inch size. Also, BF Goodrich G-Force TDA R-compounds are downright drag radials for the street. They have to make em in a 14 inch size because most drag cars run either 14 or 15 inch rims.

Zman I am going through the same thing right now. I just tonight went through 22 different tire cos. with no joy. I am looking for what you are but I don't want low profile . 215 / 65 X14 . I have found some good tires but not the performance quality and tread style I am looking for . If you come up with a compromise send me a PM and I will do the same. Gary P.S what style I want is like the YOKOHAMA AVS ES-100 OR AVS SPORT .
