I'm not sure I understand your question. Nissan, like every other manufacturer, changes colors on new models often. If you're asking about paint suppliers I don't know that Nissan has ever sold paint - except for maybe touch-up paint.

I really doubt they have them; go to any competent paint supplier and give them your paint code and they can make up a batch for you.

I've done it with touch up paint, etc...with my 72 Orange 240z...i just say..."do you mix up colors based on a manufacturer's paint codes?" if they say no, ask if they know who does...if yes I say I need some "Datsun Red 110 for my 72 240z"......give them your paint codes, and year make model.

Just my .02 dollars.

well i was told that i can get the paint direct from nissan, but the source wasnt very reliable so i was wondering

well thanks i didnt know that i could ask any paint store and just give them the code

helps alot...

Chances are you won't give them the code but rather tell them the year, make, model, and color and they'll look it up in their extensive library of color mixing formulas based on the brand and type of paint you decide to go with.

...If you want to buy spray cans of paint - www.towerpaint.com Lots of Z guys use tower. They have engine blue, tail light valance grey, all the datsun color numbers. E-mail any questions. They are most helpful

Chris, excellent link - many thanks! I had the cover of my Miata headlight blasted off the car when I got hit by a piece of road debris (made a nice hole in the windshield too!) a few months back. I got a replacement but just never have the time nor inclination to find out what it would cost to get just that little piece painted the same color as the rest of the car. One rattlecan of Miata Mariner Blue will do the trick!
