Owners Manual .pdf

I am trying my "help" post in this forum as well: I am hoping to find a copy of a 1971 240Z owner's manual. A .pdf scan would be great but ,literally, if someone is willing to make a copy and mail / fax the bugger to me I'll be eternally grateful.

I am still trying to figure out which fuses control what in the car... can't find a copy of this info anywhere. The local Nissan dealership stands in front of my car and says "Wow, cool. What is it?" Well, they're not that bad, but...

Thanks

Kevin

I hate putting people down like this, but I doubt you will be able to find a FSM.pdf file. Seeing as the manuals, wether it is an original or reprint will cost you $50+. Even if you buy the FSM on cd it will still run you like $70. I don't forsee anybody posting a link to the manual sorry. Good luck on your earch; although if you do come across one please post

AFAIK, there is no .pdf of an Owners manul OR a Factory Service manual floating around.

As one of the other guys said, your best bet is a Haynes, or Chilton manual.

BTW, Last time I checked, Nissan was still selling reprints of the early Z Owners manuals. Price was a little high for what it is (not very dtailed). Check w/ Courtesy Nissan.

the pdf files for my 280Z FSM are only 50 Megs total, so it's not really that big. But I wouldn't see anybody putting the files on a web site anywhere for copyright reasons. Maybe the owner's manual, but first you have to find one and maybe that person has a scanner and the conversion software, or would have somebody do it.

thx

I think if someone paid for a manual, spent all the time scanning it and creating pdf files, and put it on the internet for free, they would be overly gracious and perhaps a little stupid. I might also sarcastically remark that if you can not buy a service manual, then don't work on your car.

Neither the owner's manual nor the service manual will tell you what fuse controls what circuit - directly. You have to follow the wiring diagram to figure it out. Wiring diagrams ARE pretty common on the net and free.

Thanks for the tip, Carl. Sounds like Courtesy has exactly what I am looking for.

Err, Well; I may have mis-spoke. I don't know if they had owners manuals for cars as early as yours. After I bought one for my 72 on eBay (couple years ago) I noticed that on the Courtesy website, they had reprints of owners manuals for less than I paid one eBay.

Carl,

I saw reprint owner's manuals on eBay not too long ago and they were reprint dated 1997 which means, probably, that they were done for the Vintage Z program. At least this is what I think at the moment. I lost all three (70, 71, 72) auctions to the same buyer who outslammed my last minute slam every time. PMO It makes sense that Courtesy would have them as they are a Z Store.

A real November 1969 owner's manual would go for well over $100, Jason. I lost one of those to a fellow club member not long ago.
