June 26, 200519 yr comment_128600 installed the roof vent today (in between rain showers, why does it always rain when you don't want it to?) i got to say it is liberating to cut holes in the roof Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/15743-roof-vent/?&page=2#findComment-128600 Share on other sites
June 26, 200519 yr comment_128626 LIBERATING? I don't know how you do it... I guess the 500 dollar factor has something to do with it Looks... purposeful! June 26, 200519 yr comment_128633 A roof vent is only any good if you are not following any cars, and in bulldust this means that you need about 2-3 minutes on a still day? Are you really going to let the opposition get that far ahead of you on the dirt sections, surely you will be wanting to round them up . Just remember to shut it as soon as you start catching a car infront, or it makes the dust problem 10X worse. June 27, 200519 yr comment_128647 yeah, the thought of only blowing $500 worth of car certainly helps, i certainly wouldn't feel the same way if i was cutting holes into the other shell (i still feel a little queezy at having cut up the rear guards, still got to get those welded properly).. Z-Kid, the event we are going into isn't a competition event (well, not officially ) it is a charity raising bash, but you are very spot on about the dust.. not sure what the lead time between cars will be, but i know it is going to be hella hot in the car!! June 30, 200519 yr Author comment_129039 K,thanks for thinking of me. I have scored a bonnet scoop type went in f'glass that we will adapt to roof vent. It will be always open unless I can think of a clever way to shut it.I am most interested in getting clean air into car so need to rig up a filter of some sort. More thinking involved.Dont get fixated on roll cage.....leonPS I dont give nobody my mobile number unless for very good reason Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/15743-roof-vent/?&page=2#findComment-129039 Share on other sites
