If I have asked this question before, pardon the repetition. You guys out there gave me good advice the last time so I am back again for more info. I need to know the best struts to use on my 1973 240Z. I want to avoid leaning in curves and corners and squatting at take off, got an really good ideas on really good struts. Come thru for me again, OK. Thanx

search threads for tokico illuminas...they are pretty good, because they have a 5 way adjustable screw on the top of the shaft...if they are too stiff, you can just adjust to make them softer...prevents you from being locked into one stiffness...

If you search '240z' on ebay, a lot of these kits come up (illumina shocks w/ tokico springs) from one guy, and lots of folks on here have bought them...and they are an incredible deal, close to the same price retail for just the shocks....(and you get the springs too) roughly $350 'buy now' price....for all 4 strut inserts / springs (1" drop)...

By the way, does anyone know who manufacturers springs for 1.5 or 2 inch drop in the US? I am thinking a little bit more than 1" drop....

Nothing's stopping you from going out and getting whatever Eibach ERS spring you want in any combination of length and stiffness... Good place to get them (and get adice to boot on what kind of spring rate would be best for you) would be Ground Control, but there's plenty of other places too...

I agree with dogma420 Tokico Illuminas are the struts to get.

Getting a 2" drop on stock length struts would limit your wheel travel, hope you have shorten struts.

Does anyone make springs that would make your suspension drop 1.5" from stock (versus the standard 1" that we see everyone doing?)...I'm not really interested in the added cost of coil overs (not going to autocross or race).

What can anyone tell me about Eibach springs vs. Tokico springs or the ones from MSA?

Thank you all for reading my post.

Take care.
