May 8, 200519 yr comment_122986 Having just put V.B. aftermarket seals on my '71 and experienced the same problem of not being able to close the doors, I definetly recommend OEM. I finally got the passenger door to close completely but the drivers door will still only latch to the first click - and the seals have been on about two weeks! May 10, 200519 yr comment_123301 Has anyone used the rubbers for the windows from VB? I have most of mine together and ready to install, but I realized that I want to change the window rubber also, and am looking to order. May 11, 200519 yr comment_123345 I have the same question as Scott. I need to replace my windsheild weatherstriping and the rear hatch glass weatherstriping, so is it really worth it to go OEM on those opposed to VB or any other aftermarket brand? Thanks, ~Rich Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/15752-weatherstrip/?&page=2#findComment-123345 Share on other sites

May 18, 200519 yr comment_124359 I would try VB last, because they are just part of a large company that sells parts for almost every vehicle out there....the old Ford Bronco parts catalog is layed out exactly like the VB catalog, and its the same company. They have a catalog for every make/model that is worth selling parts for....in other words not as personable as lets say MSA...if it doesn't fit from MSA they will care more than VB. they are like JC Whitney, only a distributor. Not saying that MSA isn't a distributor, but they are people who like Zs.Just 2 cents Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/15752-weatherstrip/?&page=2#findComment-124359 Share on other sites
May 18, 200519 yr comment_124416 i used the vb w/strip for the rear hatch and was pleased with the fit and quality. price was a lot less than others, so i took the chance. can't comment on the windshield since i haven't replaced it.
