Interestingly, the 43262-21000 original style axle nut appears to be available and is only $4.00 each. I also found that the spindle pin and lock bolt are actually cheaper through Nissan than through Victoria British! Go figure... May 2, 200519 yr comment_122374 I just called Courtesy and asked for 280ZX Turbo (not sure if turbo matters) stub axle nuts. He found them just fine. It appears to be the same nut for the R200 pinion, but I'm not absolutely sure on that one... May 2, 200519 yr comment_122375 The red stuff you see around the axle nut may be Locktite. If it's the really good stuff you may have to use some heat to break the nut loose. My impact wrench is a CP 734 and it has no problem with the axle nuts. Be ready to use a tap and die on the threads because more than likely they will get messed up. The original nuts can be reused. Just use Locktite on them upon reassembly. Good Luck. May 2, 200519 yr comment_122388 FWIW I was able to get almost every single nut and bolt in my suspension hardware replacement kit that Chloe put together for me (including this nut). What I did was go through the microfiche and pulled out every single part I wanted to replace and assembled a very detailed list with the original part numbers, microfiche page number and item number etc. Chloe then went through and gave me all of the replacement numbers if the originals weren't available. Let me know if it would be helpful to post that list. I can probably find it on my computer at home if I didn't lose it when I got a new PC. Oops actually I just found it. I'll try to attach it. Paid $4.16 each from Midwest Z before she went out of business last year.Recommend you use dremel to cut away the crimped part of the nut before trying to untorque. Will reduce amount of breakaway torque required and also minimize risk of damaging threads on stub axle. You will need a good 27 mm socket for the nut which was probably installed with over 200 ft-lbs of torque. If I can get a replacement (which it looks like I should be able to), I will dremel the peened portion first. With everything already off the car, I can do it very carefully and hopefully not hurt the threads.
