240ZX Posted May 5, 2005 Share #6 Posted May 5, 2005 Getting it cheap enough is one thing...but be prepared for the rust monster. From the looks of the photos there is plenty!
Zrush Posted May 5, 2005 Share #7 Posted May 5, 2005 Looked like the guy had some kind of funky coil mounted there. But I also see the usual coil in it's correct place. I do like the wheels.Vicky
beandip Posted May 5, 2005 Share #8 Posted May 5, 2005 The only rust that I saw was at the lower front fender , caused from debris draining down from the cowl and collecting between the fender and the body. The fender needs to be repaired . The main worry is if it has impacted the rail or not. The rest of the car looks nice. I would think that it would go for around 4 to 5K . To bad the engine by is not the same color as the car , this is a big negetive for me . Over all the body looks good . Before I would buy , I would want a Z person to look at it and check the rails and floor especially the driver's side.
hls30.com Posted May 5, 2005 Share #9 Posted May 5, 2005 The plug wires run to a distributor in the factory location. The hoses look to be a distribution for coolant-the thingys mounted on the inner fender appear to be stopcocks, with 5/8"hose going to and 3/8" hos coming out-that is just a guess-I don't see a reason for 5 though.Could they also be cut off switches for audio equipment? With those kinds of changes, just imagine what other goodies will be under the seats, in the tool bins, and taped up under the dash! Will
