May 6, 200519 yr Author comment_122834 Yeah, I saw that. Unfortunately the damage is already done on mine. Unless a perfect console falls from the sky into my lap, I doubt I'll replace it just because of the two holes, but OTOH I wouldn't mind coming up with an idea or two to "dress it up" a little. Has anyone ever found a way to repair holes made in plastic like these? I've seen many of the commercials for vinyl repair kits but I've never given them much credance. BTW, what was the purpose of the plastic "cover" piece anyway? Were there optional switches that went there? I dont see how from the choke bracket underneath but it sure looks like a switch blank. May 6, 200519 yr comment_122865 JB weld? just fill and sand the holes, then paint the console (or the holes, if you have a paint that matches perfectly) or there's plastic filler at most auto parts stores... May 6, 200519 yr comment_122868 Yes, there were ( or could be) switches installed there in JDM Z cars. Driving lights IIRC, or was it maybe the side parking lights that were required in Japan? I dunno, can't remember. Alan or someone else will remember better than I.
