I put up a thread recently about using 280 seat mount rails in a 240. SO i was told i can, but i was wondering if i have to reposition the main seat bracket. im trying to avoid re-welding that piece because i can replace the floor panels without moving that piece.

If i do have to reposition that piece, does anyone know where i can get new seat mount rails for a '71 240Z? thanks

I don't know about new ones, but used ones can be cleaned up pretty easily, and because they are not right on the floor, and are chromated, usually do not even have mentionable rust. I will be parting a '73 in the next month or so...

The seat bolts to the seat are in the same place, the bolts to the car mounts are not. They are similar, not the same, but can be modified with out much drama.
