If I were running down a grassy hill at full speed, stepped into a hole and snapped my leg off at the knee, would the ringing in my ears subside long enough for me to understand what the man in my head is saying?

No, it would sound like "blah blah blah blah hahaha blah blah"

Why when you watch cars accelerate away from a standing start do their wheels appear to rotate in one direction and then appear to rotate the other way as the car gets quicker?

-They are rotating too fast for our brain to make sense of the information our eyes are sending it.

okay, i have one. I have the engine almost entirely dismantled but the crank shaft. I got of all of the bearing caps, yet i have one left, the last one. It is in there really tight. I have the "how to rebuild your datsun engine" book, so I tried to follow his directions: putting a screw into the screw hole and prying it with a crow bar using a 2x4 as the fulcrum, got nothing. I know you can buy a tool from nissan for this, i have read it is expensive, so I need some other options. Please bless me with your knowledge

-Snap-On makes a tool for bear cap removeal and it is much cheaper than the one from Nissan. And if all else fails, get an oxey-setaline (spelling) torch and melt the bitch off.

Rent or make a slide hammer to attach to a bolt in the screw hole you refer to

hope it helps

When you say 'interlock unit' are you referring to the unit that locks the steering wheel when the key is removed in the 'lock' position? If so, it's part of the ignition switch assembly. It consists of a pin that releases into the steering column when you remove the key with the ingnition in the lock position and disengages when you insert the key in the ignition and turn it. If you remove the ignition switch from the steeering column, unplug the connections, hold it in your hand and operate it with the key, you'll see how it works.

The effect can be seen by the naked eye, not only on film or video. The principle is the same: Much like a camera, your eye/brain combo has a limited ability to process information (light) and convert it to an image. In the case of your eye, it's roughly 50 frames or images per second although in most circumstances it's hardly discernable above 30fps. The "reversing" effect is simply a syncranicity issue.

I have a 1975 Z. Why does the luggage area look like a 260/240, (smooth vinyl on the shock towers etc, split carpet to get to jack area {catalogs show a non-split carpet}, a built in anti-skid lip {or toe rail in nautical parlance} vinyl covering the transmission hump? It was built in May.
