May 18, 200519 yr comment_124412 James Bond 007That looks to be a 350Z dash and console transplant. Whoever built this car spent a lot of time and money on it and did a very good job. May 19, 200519 yr comment_124433 I am by no means an expert on such things... but it looks to me more like they spliced a 240Z body onto a 350Z. The hood, center transmission "hump"... it all looks 350Z'ish.Even the front end details. But with enough time and money.... Its a S30 chassis, with a 350z dash, and some fibreglass that looks like a s2000 front bumper. May 19, 200519 yr comment_124473 i wonder what would have to be done to fit that in my 240z?All you would need is a whole lot of time, money, and experience although you could get by with just a whole lot of money if you prefer to not do the work yourself. May 19, 200519 yr comment_124478 Buy the pieces, cut them up, put them in.I would imagine that the wiring would be easier if you dropped in the engine out of a 350Z at the same time which is what appears to have happened in this particular case. May 19, 200519 yr comment_124498 Why not just buy a TOAD, and pass the S30 on to someone who will appreciate it for what it is? Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/15961-does-anyone-know-this-car-owner/#findComment-124498 Share on other sites
May 19, 200519 yr comment_124516 ^^because he wants a custom look. Although I think it would be too much time & money, as stated before. But it would be a killer custom job. May 19, 200519 yr comment_124525 Why not just buy a TOAD, and pass the S30 on to someone who will appreciate it for what it is? Carl, you kill me! You took the words right out of my mouth!!! This Z was at the MSA show. Nice exicution on the mods. However, IMO, the front of the Z looks......well, less than desireable (politically correct description). Like Carl suggested, by a Toadz.....it will likely cost less.
