a friend just sent me these pictures of a storm in Perth on Monday May 16, 2005. His info indicated that although there was a lot of damage done by the storm, no one was seriously injured.

Yeah, didnt hear of any serious injuries, but someone could have easily been killed, was just a matter of luck they weren't. A Crane on a building site blew over and landed on another building (ABC - Australian broadcasting company) and smashed a reporters desk, which she had just gotten up from.

I got stuck in traffic on the Monday on the way to work. Took 1 hour and 30 miuntes to get to work, usually takes me 30 minutes.

Phenomenal!

Those images are breathtaking. I can't remember ever seeing a storm that displayed so much power and beauty. I wonder if those storm cloud shapes are common to that area? Carl, do you know if those images were all of one storm?

Thank God nobody was hurt!

monday was bad, all of our greenhouses were damaged with the plastic roof tops being ripped off.

one of the greenhouses collapsed all together.

lost of damages in the buildings as well as loss of crops.

the worst part is that we dont have insurance :(

I was sent these photos also - from our Australian office - they were taken near one of our plants in WA Bunbury I believe. I work for a company that is in the crop protection business.
