I'm sure its good for at least 20 more horsepower...... I just had to throw that comment in Victor....it's that male affection thing you know? Bottom line....5 stars out of 5. May 24, 200519 yr comment_125035 Looks fantastic Victor - now I think you need a wooden gearknob too! Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/16018-ot-roadster-steering-wheel/#findComment-125035 Share on other sites
May 25, 200519 yr Author comment_125055 You might be right Lachlan. I have a wood AMCO knob, with the Datsun Griffin logo that I may need to clean up and re-shoot with clear. It sit's a little too high for my tastes though. The stock, black plastic knob reccess onto the shift lever, for a lower grip. May 25, 200519 yr comment_125067 That looks great Victor! It is period correct for the roadster that's for sure. If you compare it to the original steering wheel for the '67 and 68 Corvette they're quite similar. In Australia the 1968 to 1971 Monaro, and the 1970 Torana GTR and XU-1 had one much the same. I scanned this from an 8/70 Monaro brochure. May 25, 200519 yr Author comment_125078 Turned out, I didn't need to "Roll My own" Hub. The Grant hub from Summit Racing work perfectly. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/16018-ot-roadster-steering-wheel/#findComment-125078 Share on other sites

May 26, 200519 yr comment_125173 I've uploaded (to members galleries) an old ad you might like. AMCO ad for accessories for the Datsun roadster. Jim. May 26, 200519 yr Author comment_125178 Thanks Jim! That is the very knob I have. Did you find this ad on the Web? I don't think I've seen this one before. It's a 1966 Ad, and I beleive the others wer for the later, high windsheild models.
