Not to throw a wrench into all of this or anything but the Japanese Z horn pad for the 70-3 is shaped just like the ours but instead of having it say "datsun" it just says "Z" and has the addition of a horn logo below that. I should take a picture of the one in my car for all to see.

Kind of like the 432 piston picture to the left of my posts... also just given to me but at another shop and i didn't even ask for it... it was a 510 shop and i brought a 510 enthusiast and just hung back telling the owner i had an S30 which prompted the unsolicited gift. :)

Michael, Thanks for the tip! I hadn't thought of it, just whipped everything out on the Grill to take the picture of the three and threw the ruler up there for scale-Next time I will take some time and "set" the picture.

EricB-take and post a picture of your JDM horn button-please!

Ok no problem will do so tonight or tomorrow.

...

Never mind I found a pic someone snapped of my interior over two years ago... it's a little cleaner now... those yellow wires were left over from some half-arse installation the PO had done...

Anyways notice the horn button. Same shape as our 70-3 "Datsun" ones but with a "Z" instead like the later US ones and a horn logo as well...

Oh and also visible is my only genuine KPGC10 part... the 5spd shift knob. New & only 6500yen means I couldn't resist.

  • 2 months later...
I have examples of all three, let me get my camera, and do a little digging...

Ps, the one pictured with the datsun logo is from a 74-76, the 70-73 used the same logo, but the pad was smaller-let me post a picture.

Will

I have the left most pad. Too bad you can't find one with the inner plastic ring intact.
