Posted May 30, 200519 yr comment_125669 Ok.... I drove my 1977 280 2+2 for two weeks and then i park it in my drive way. the next morning i go to start it and it start right up then dies.... It does not want to run now.... the only way it will run is if i keep the gas peddle to the floor even then it does not pass 3K RPM and black smoke comes out of the tail pipe. I know it has something to do with the fuel and more around the O2 mixture, so i have been messing around with the AFM and it seems to do different things sometimes it works a little better sometime it does not work at all. I need major help plz.... At least with my car() So could you plz help me i really need my car for work these week.. Thank you very much!!!!!!!! May 31, 200519 yr comment_125683 Possibly a vacuum leak somewhere??? That will cause a problem like what your having. I'd check into that if you haven't already. I like to check the simple stuff first Best of luck. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/16082-i-need-help/#findComment-125683 Share on other sites

May 31, 200519 yr comment_125724 Check your temperature sensor. A bad one will also cause the problem you've described. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/16082-i-need-help/#findComment-125724 Share on other sites
