Wheels that will fit Zeds

Recommended Posts

http://www.tempetyres.com.au

Go to 17" Packages and part #'s

7001

7002

7003

7006

Will all fit without any spacers, straight bolt on and drive away, not to sure about what tyres you can fit on though, the bloke i spoke to said you should be able to run 235/45-17's or 225/45-17's without to many clearance issues,

Also,

www.performancewheels.com.au

Lotus & Tempest in the 17" by 7" will fit, but you will not be able to fit any larger than 205/40-17 on the front unless you use spacers - this means the overall running diameter of the tyre/wheel is 596mm - factory its about 628mm

There is not much choice out there so i thought i put this down in case anyone was chasing bigger wheels,

Not a chance those are all +40 offsets. You'd be scraping springs for sure

There isn't much around for the Z. You need a 4 x 114.3 PCD and an offset of between 0 and 15 (roughly). Most wheels have much more offset. I'm seriously thinking about getting spacers so I can fit wheels off silvias and 180sx's. Same PCD, different offset.

Allegedly, some of the billet wheels can be had in the right set-up, but $$$.

I run 17x7 Racing Harts with the 4x114.3 pattern. These are 40mm offset used previously on my ex 94 Accord ricer. Ross at Modern made me a set of spacers approximately 28mm thick with the 4x114.3 to 4x114.3 pattern. They worked like a charm and the RH's look incredible. As for tires, I'm running Wanli 215/45R17 directionals. Everything fits with no rubbing and handling is great. My Tokico Illumina's and Eibach Pro's go on in the next week. I don't see a pending rubbing issue but will post the results.

Also if you got the Cash,

http://www.bozeforged.com/

Spoke to the bloke there and says that they are a 2-piece design and can be custom'd to fit your requirements, but were about $4100a set for 17by7 & $4300 for 17by8,

He said the following design's could be custom'd to suit the Zed,

Fatal

Benton

Arrow

Big Momma

Blade

Doons

Dude

Fang

Fusion

The Rotor

Spinx

The Wedge

The Wedge 5

i was under the impression you needed 3 piece to have wheels that fit for the zed that havn't been custom designed?

only wheels i'd go ANYWHERE near for a zed on that site would be the stixx euro, the others just do not look like they would work on a zed.

I like the look of the lotus ones. Might have to photoshop them on to the Z for a look. Don't like the 11mm offset though. My past 2 sets of wheels have been 0 offset (set of jellybeans) and 12.5mm (280zx 6 spokes) Having the extra 12mm really fills out the guards nicely. Currently my tires, whilst wide, don't quite fill it all out. But I guess I no longer have rubbing problems, so that is a positive.

Spoke to ROH wheels today and they can help out aswell,

They do all of the below for the Zed, they are 3-piece custom designs and are made to your order, can be done in 4 or 5 spoke,

http://www.roh.com.au/asp/product_catalogue.asp

ADRENALIN MODULAR

CHICANE

MILANO

MODENA

MONACO

VENTURO

They said the 17" rims for about $540AUD/wheel = $2160AUD, which is pretty good considering its a 3-piece custom wheel
