need parts for '71 240 in Dallas

Hello y'all,

I'm in Dallas Texas and could use a little info:

I'm looking for water pump, clutch fan, fan and radiator for a '71 240.

I'm not sure if the water pump went bad, or if it's just the fan clutch, but the whole assembly went slack and the wobbly fan ripped a hole in my radiator.

The radiator is toast!

If anyone else has had this happen and has experience doing the repair please say hello.

And, if anybody has serviceable parts in Dallas, please let me know.

Thanks,

Mike G.

i have everytihng ur lookin for but its off a late production 72 240z. The fan is the 6 blade plastic one and work perfect when the engine ran. The radiator has a few dings and dents but didnt leak and cooled the engine perfectly when the it ran. Get back to me , im located in Massachusetts so im not sure how much shipping will be but we can work on that if this is what ur lookin for. My email is cKy7290@yahoo.com or u can PM me. I have a 90% complete parts 72 240z so if u need anymore parts dont hesitate to ask!

Here's a pic of my radiator. $30 cash today if possible. email here: email

Also a pic of the fan and water pump. Maybe you can tell if it's what you need. Michael

PS. Don't you havea read 240Z? I think I sold you a fender a couple of years ago. I'm still in the same area of Dallas but not the same place.

Gents,

I did sort out the situation with my red 71 240. It was the bearing in the water pump that went bad. It turned out that the clutch fan assembly was ok. I just ordered the water pump and a new fan from Motorsport and had the radiator fixed at a shop on Harry Hines for $30.00.

No problems since!

On another note,

I could use a hood and a driver's side fender if anyone has that stuff.

Thanks,

G

Hello Michael Purdue,

yes I do have a red 240, and you did sell me a red door a few years ago. When I saw you, a teenage girl had just taken the door off mine in a parking lot. She tried to pull into the space next to me while I was getting out. I got the door I bought from you hung, but I still haven't had it re-painted properly.

I'd like to find someone who's good with the door latches to help get the doors closing and opening properly. Also I could use a new hood.

How's your poject going?

I've got a rolled fender you can have for free :) Sorry none in good usable condition. My fenders are all gone.

ANd the project is gone - never finished it. Got pretty far and then a lot of other things got in tht way. IT was really sad to see it go but then again I got a lot of great experience out of the project - and it was a lot of fun. Here's my goodbye pic: bye!

Good to hear you got your problem straightened out. You still in the lower greenville area?

Michael

Got more details on the car (pix, VIN, condition other than rusty, details about the rust, etc)?
