Posted June 5, 200519 yr comment_126404 Curious about the 300zx Brakes & Toyota Calipers front brake upgrade for 240-260z's,I know you have to use a special spacer that sits between the rotor and hub, but.........Does anyone know of companies/people that sell this spacer in Australia? June 6, 200519 yr comment_126488 If you look at the attached link and go to the post by 'waynekarnes' it may give you the dimensions you are after. http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=94050&highlight=toyota+calipers+rotorsAt the same time I don't know of anyone in Aus who makes the spacers however I am sure if you found an engineering workshop or fitter and machinist and gave them the dimensions they could turn them up for you.I am not sure whether you realise, that if you didn't want to use the 300ZX vented rotors with a spacer, you can use ones of a TP Magna or a 504/5 Peugeot and have the centres turned out to 81mm and the four holes drilled to suit the 260 hub. They have the correct height so that you don't need a spacer as you would with a 240 hub. That is using the Toyota S12+8 calipers, which I believe here comes off a Toyota Landcruiser possibly FJ60 series.I am by no means an expert, but believe this info to be close to the mark. I am sure I will be corrected if there are some inaccuracies. June 6, 200519 yr Author comment_126497 Didnt know you could use the TP Magna Rotors,Thanks for the link mate,I think its the s12w caliper, the s12-8 is the caliper for the non-vented style rotor, or thats what the link says ;-)Ive looked at the Peugeot 505, but just thought id like to use a rotor that was a straight bolt-on, instead of having to mod it (re-drilling for correct PCD and enlargening the centre) whereas the 1984-85 300zx rotor bolts straight-up, but does require that spacer,I asked a few local engineering shops and they said i would be looking at $150-$200 a side for the spacers, which i thought was a bit much,I thought about getting the Peugeot Rotor un-drilled, but you cant get Peugeot 505 Rotors undrilled in Australia, I spoke to DBA and they said that its an imported Rotor and it comes to them drilled,But ill ask them about the Magna TP Rotor Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/16166-300zx-brakes-toyota-calipers/#findComment-126497 Share on other sites
