Posted May 9, 200222 yr comment_6924 Does anyone know what the ignition interlock does on a 74 260? The car seems to be starting without this box being connected. Any Idea what this is and what it does. How about running without it? Louie. May 10, 200222 yr comment_6934 i don't recall, as those type of features have been disconected on my 73 & 74. IIRC, its just a buzzer, but its been awhile. Don't worry about it, unless you *like* minor nuisances in your life! May 10, 200222 yr Author comment_6938 Pretty much what I was wanting to hear. If it's not needed to run I won't worry about it. who needs buzzers anyway!thanks, Louie. May 10, 200222 yr comment_6947 I don't even remember a buzzer on my 75 unless someone else had already unhooked it. But the Seatbelt warning light on the console would light up, which took me about 20 minutes to get annoyed with and unhook it too.
