June 14, 200519 yr comment_127374 Note that there seems to be no number for the "Australia" LH mirror..........We only got driver side door mirrors as far as i'm aware. Can you rotate the mirror 180 degrees and stick it on the other side? June 16, 200519 yr comment_127563 Uuuhhhh, Mike,OUR driver side mirror is what they want mate. Rick. :devious: :devious: I don't understand how you arrived at that conculsion I was simply agreeing with Mr.C I believe that our 240's initially [apart from 004] came with only a drivers side mirror. The passenger side was a dealer add-on. June 16, 200519 yr comment_127564 Ive seen a few of our cars with the right and left front fender mounted chrome type mirrors installed, akin to RHD VIN#004. One was an early green exterior one used for a dealer brochure I have.Nisszed Spares is expensive IMO.Joseph Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/16231-usa-members-need-help-from-the-uk/?&page=2#findComment-127564 Share on other sites

June 16, 200519 yr comment_127614 Will,You may have noticed that my "Precious" sports a passenger side mirror. When turned fully inwards, I cannot see the side of the car at all. The view is about 12 inches off the car. Whether this is normal or not I don't know. In all honesty, I regard the passenger side mirror as purely cosmetic. That's all it's good for.Just for the sake of it, I turned "MY" driver's side mirror fully inwards and sat in the left hand seat to see what the view was. It's exactly the same. Can't see the side of the car.I don't mean to chuck in a red herring, just thought it best to mention it.Rick. June 16, 200519 yr Author comment_127616 Are the mirrors on your car mirror images of each other? If they are a properly matched R and L, then I know what had to be done for a matching (and fully functional) set.Oh, and in the wake of HHGTTU, So Long, And Thanks For The Fish!WillPS, could you take a few pictures of both mirrors for me?
