The only logical solution to the spiders is an AK47 (it's easy to sweep up the brass)

maybe an AR15..... pr even an MP5.... better suited to small spiders

Seriously though, I go around with a vaccuum cleaner 2 or 3 times a week sucking up the little buggers. When finished and before switching off the machine, send a squirt of spider killer into the suction hose. They can't escape the spray then repeat every couple of days for around two weeks to break the breeding cycle. As Carl suggested, spray the outside perimeter to stop more unwanted guests arriving.

I can see the news headline now, "Bugbomb Bombs man", youd want to be a bit careful spraying an aerosol into a thing with an electric motor, the sparks from the brushes might be enough for an explosion. It would be like a tennis ball cannon, but shooting pissed off spiders instead.

hhm well if the M79 doesn't do it I prefer either a good blow torch , cook them down with some butter yummy, or a bit of napalm wll do the trick , works great for weeds I find. I use a stuff called Demon it can be bought at do it yourself pest control stuff and living in fla we get anything with more than 4 legs year around and works very well. I do the corners and wall/floor junction points as well as around every door frame and door, you will see the little dead bodies where they have tried to invade my personal space , god I love finding death in the garage. Since spiders need a steady source of food, using the bug bomb would be a great way to start. My storage shed unfortunately is home to a veritable colony of Texas Recluse spiders (and I have the resultant scars from bites), and I bomb the daylights out of it once a month. Amdro sprinkled along the wall/floor connection also keeps out other ants, roaches, etc. If at all possible, keep the garage as bug-unfriendly as possible *might* help, even if only a little.

spiders like cool dark moist places. Set up spot light and a furness. If it dont kill the spiders itle kill your wallet.
