Just curious if anyone has a source for new factory fenders for my '71 240Z. The tops have quite a few small dents in them. Not sure if it would be easier to repair what I have or swap our for some new ones. I have tried PDR without much success.

I'm glad I got mine six months ago.

I just called my local Nissan dealer & he said they were on backorder but they will be available again in the future. I told him that another dealer said that they are NLA & I was told that was incorrect, & he reiterated to me that they will be available in the future. I certainly can't back that up, I'm just relaying the message. Whatever you do though, don't waste your time &/or money with the aftermarket ones. I've seen them come close to fitting on one car & way off on another.

Your's sound like an easy fix, aftermarket are not worth the money but then I have also heard that the OEM fenders are now from an aftermarket vendor and are of the same low quality. If all you have are dents and no rust I would fix the originals, you will spend more time straightening "new" ones than you would fixing yours, and they already fit!

I just got some Factory fenders today, here are some pics of the packaging, and the fenders. They do not appear to be aftermarket.

I almost forgot, when you get them be sure to coat the insides with POR-15 or something of that nature to protect against rock chips getting past the fender liner.

I got a set for $188 apiece no shipping. I haven't seen them yet but my dealer says the have some dings in them! I may ask them to order a new set. Will were yours damaged at all?

Mine had NO damage-not a ding, a scrape, or even tape residue-they came in needing only light sanding, primer and paint-$203 each! I have diaper duty all weekend-I'll check the fit Monday afternoon.

The two big errors I found in my aftermarket fender was that the front edge was poorly rolled at the point on the top of the fender where the headlight bucket mounts and the latch? for the access door stuck out about 3/4" longer, so much so that there would not be enough adjustment on the latch to make the door close correctly.

From what I can see in the pic the front edge looks nicely rolled, so I would bet that you did get OEM.
