I have not got anything for my wife yet...blew it off all week, I usually shop fairly early, but not this time...Sent my mother a card and my mother-in-law, and will go get something for my wife tomorrow whikle she is gone. Am thinking lingerie this year. Have not done that in a while. I also get to cook brunch for parents-in-law on Sunday morning.

What have the rest of you got planned?

Hi all,

Hmmm... not to sure if I am doing the right thing here :)

Tomorrow, for Mother's Day, I am taking the better half, and our 240Z, to the McLeans Bridge Mother's Day Sports Car gathering on the outskirts of Brisbane, Australia. The word is that they are expecting around 400+ sports cars at the event. I am looking forward to see how many other Z cars are there.

Cheers

Hey Dazza, you got a digital camera? Take a few pictures and upload them to our picture gallery. I'd love to see some pictures of the event down there!!

As far as moms day... We don't have kids, so, I don't have to get anything for my wife. However, my mom and mom-in-law are in town and I need to do something today.

Moms are usually pretty easy.. flowers, cards, house decorations (kitchen stuff), or the best presents for moms are hand-made.

And you get away with that? Man, that would never fly here. It doesn't matter if you have kids or NOT. You have to do something for your wife regardless.

Well i have four kids so i'm not getting out of anything, was going to put a new head on my 240 this weekend but i got a stern look from the wife, it occured to me that it was infact Mothers day on Sunday. So i'm off to Victoria Secret and then tomorrow it's dinner flowers and all that stuff. I guess the ol' 240 will have to waite until Monday.

And I'm stuck in Massachusetts for the weekend on the job:mad:

Can't work on my car, play with my dog, all I can do is sit here and play on the computer while I'm bored to death. At least the dog can keep Mom company, but I doubt she'll be taking her out to dinner.

BTW Dan, buying something for your wife from Victorias Secret is really more of a treat for you than her now isn't it?:finger:

Hi All,

Well we have just returned from the McLeans Bridge Mother's Day Sports Car get to gether. The event was well attended with over some three hundred cars. I have posted a few pics of the event. Zelda, our 240Z, took out the trophy for the "Most Desirable Datsun Z Car" which was sponsored by the Z-Car Workshop, here in Brisbane Australia. There was a lower number of Z cars than I was expecting. All told, there was in attendance, 1 x 240Z, 1 x 260Z, 2 x 280Zs, and 3 x 300Zs.

Getting the trophy saved me from having to race out to get a box of chocolates and flowers or an express Victoria Secret delivery, for my better half ;)

Cheers

Wow! Congrats on the trophy! There's a big car show here on Father's day, but not on Mother's...You 've been having too much fun for Mother's day...I just finished cooking for brunch and have a few minutes to check the mail...a nice bacon quiche, some fresh berries and melons (from Mexico) a hazelnut tart and a raspberry cheescake...now I just have to decide which bubbly to open...I have a Mumm cordon Rouge (a gift bottle which I despise, but my mother-in-law loves) or a '97 J. Damn, I guess I will have to open both!

Kiss the one you're with!
