Posted June 19, 200519 yr comment_127837 Hello All... the Honda Prelude 97, 98, 99, 00, and 01 blower fits a 240Z. There are additional screw holes in the flanges that fit perfectly and I clipped off the nibs in the cage with toenail clippers. A much newer replacement part and it REALLY blows. June 20, 200519 yr comment_127873 have you guys heard similar things about the 88-91 civic blower. i tried it and the gerbil wheel portion was just a lil too deep. what are you guys using as a seal between the blower motor and the cavity it bolts up to? June 22, 200519 yr Author comment_128211 I didn't take pics...sorry. Tried 89 civic blower first with little success as the brushes were worn. The prelude one is a perfect fit (no gasket needed) as long as you clip the nibs on the cage. June 23, 200519 yr comment_128244 Did you use just the motor and the 240 fan, or did you use the Honda motor and the Honda fan? I tried the '90 civic motor and the Z fan, and it wouldn't fit. thanks, Ken Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/16301-new-info-on-honda-blower/#findComment-128244 Share on other sites
June 23, 200519 yr Author comment_128322 I think the primary reason that the 240Z blower doesn't put out much air is the metal fan (birdcage). It is heavy. I used the entire assembly from the prelude. It has a nylon birdcage and is much lighter. June 23, 200519 yr comment_128332 Do you think it would also fit on a 280Z? Did it plug in directly with no mods?thx Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/16301-new-info-on-honda-blower/#findComment-128332 Share on other sites
