Posted June 20, 200519 yr comment_127920 Hi guys,What is the difference between 2 piece and 3 piece wheels. I know with the 3 piece wheel you can exchange the two shells (inner/outer) to get different widths. Can a 2 piece wheels have its shells interchange for different widths also?Regards, Ari Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/16308-re-2-piece-wheels/ Share on other sites

June 20, 200519 yr comment_127958 A two piece rim has a removable center on a static rim width that would allow you to install a different lug pattern center or change the offset of the wheel by changing the offset of the center section that is installed onto that wheel.A three piece is as described above, allowing you to change the width of the rim as well as the center section.
