I did a tune up - valve adjustment, new plugs - this weekend and had no idea how much she needed one! The Seat-o-the-pants dyno really felt the difference. IF it's been a while, tune her up. Certainly your car deserves a new set of NGK BP6ES's

What is involved with the valve ajustment as far as symptoms of the car needing one? My valves make no noise so i'm assuming that they don't need one, correct?

I still don't feel the car is where it should be on power so i'm trying to explore all options... I've done everything in a "Tune up" sense except for ajusting the valves.

Valves that are adjusted too tight don't make noise, but affect power output of the engine.

The Slide Show linked below is a good introduction to adjusting valves on an L6 engine
