Posted June 23, 200519 yr comment_128319 It looks like I bought the wrong Mechanical Oil Pressure and Water Temp gauges, for my '71 240Z. From looking at the Summit Racing site, I thought it was a no-brainer. I ordered the Auto Meter Z-Series ATM-2604 Oil Pressure 0-100 psi gauge: http://store.summitracing.com/default.asp?Ntt=atm-2604&x=0&y=0&Ntk=KeywordSearch&DDS=1&searchinresults=false&N=0&target=egnsearch.asp and the Auto Meter Z-Series Water Temp 120-140 gauge: http://store.summitracing.com/default.asp?Ntt=atm-2607&x=0&y=0&Ntk=KeywordSearch&DDS=1&searchinresults=false&N=0&target=egnsearch.asp But they're way too small. What gives? Which gauges should I have bought? Check out the attachments??? June 23, 200519 yr comment_128321 I've seen the Auto-Meter gauges in the Z dash but I don't think they sit back into the panel like the stock gauges. They sit up close on the lip of the opening. Summit should take those back with no problem as long as the package hasn't been opened.Maybe someone with those installed could post us a pictureVicky Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/16345-wrong-mechanical-gauges/#findComment-128321 Share on other sites

June 23, 200519 yr comment_128327 I see one problem with your new gauges. As shown in the first picture, they sent you a 710 gauge by mistake! Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/16345-wrong-mechanical-gauges/#findComment-128327 Share on other sites

June 23, 200519 yr comment_128355 I think the problem is that he got the 2 1/16" gauges instead of 2 5/8", hence why they look so small I wish I had seen the zhome autometer article earlier, because I made my own brackets and used stock autometer stuff Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/16345-wrong-mechanical-gauges/#findComment-128355 Share on other sites
June 24, 200519 yr Author comment_128410 Hey auxilary, that's a nice install. Yes, I did buy the 2 1/16" gauges, because I trusted the name "Z-Series". Live & learn.
