So I thought my heater core broke, it was fine, so I figured it must be a hose under there. Just now i was able to see that the hoses were all fine as well. I have traced the leak down to the brass looking valve thingy (<-- Descriptive arn't I) that the hoses go into under the dash. Does anyone know what this thing is called exactly and where i could find one? 77 280Z with dealer installed AC.

It's going to be a hot drive! keep your windows open and drink plenty of fluids. You can plug diconnect and plug the hoses in the engione compartment and keep your cool

LOL i know. As it turns out, before this thing broke it never did turn off the water anyway. That dubbed my AC about useless and when its 102 outside, having the windows down doesn't help much anyways. I was planning on just bypassing the entire heater system. just running the hose in a loop inside the engine bay. Will that be okay?
