June 27, 200519 yr comment_128680 LY good luck finding one of these rare beasts. LY = Crossflow head = Factory Rally cars. If you find one you better sell your house, wife and first born. Is the cross flow worth it? I read that it only flowed a 5% improvement over a well setup non-cross flow.Nissan heads that I know of that came with the L6 Series (some on L20a, L20et, L24, L26, L28e and L28et.E30, E31, E88, N42, N47, P79, P90, P90a, O5L. I am sure there are others that I have missed.SeeZgarage for difference between the E31, E88, N42, N47, P79, P90 and P90a heads Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/16376-l-series-heads/#findComment-128680 Share on other sites
June 27, 200519 yr comment_128730 When you find that LY, I'll take the OS Gilken Twin cam! :laugh:Seriously, I'm interested in what you find. I'm ready to have a head prepared for 44 mikuni's and lumpy street cam (bigger valves, opened passages, dialed in combustion cambers). All I have on-hand is an early E88. I'd like to learm more cause I'd rather not waste my money (less money to waste on strippers) Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/16376-l-series-heads/#findComment-128730 Share on other sites

June 28, 200519 yr comment_128765 Victor take your early E-88 to Slover and have them do it up for you!!Slover eh? Did they do your work? Haven't they been doing speed work since.... forever? Costly? Post some contact info. I was thinking of Mark DeGroff. He's done some respectable V8 race heads. donknow if that equates to L6 theory. June 28, 200519 yr comment_128833 I have 2 Slover heads, yes they have been doing L6's for 35 years + I understand that they are reasonable $$$. I don't have their number but do know that they are in the 818 area code.
