Mite as well put mine on. Its a pretty low number compared to most of yours!

But its a 260z 2+2 so it is in a bit of a different feild :nervous:

6/75 GRS30-005545. It would have been in the 'deceiced' file if anyone else bought it though :cry: Restoration is coming along fine!

Yair Ben,

I had a look through your gallery mate. NIIIIIICE.

I take it that you like Koala Bears huh ??? Have you been down under down under yet ????? Or are you saving that for retirement ??.

By the way, I meant to mention that my "Precious" still has her original engine and auto box.

Rick.

:devious: :devious:

Rick, a friend of mine went to Australia and got those. It is still on my car for all of the Australian Z enthusiasts. You have a really nice car by the way.

Ricksaia, your avatar looks suberb. Is that your car?

I'm looking to buy a 74 260z it only had 24,925 miles on the car. the car has been stored for the last 8 yrs. the last time the car was driven was 3 yrs ago.

I gave an offer of $200-$300. The VIN# is RLS30-032381.

Mine is HLS30-434056 (brown/Brown)

I think it should be HLS30A-434056 because it has an automatic transmission. According to the serial number, it's supposed to be a ZX? (got the serials from the 'Datsun Z club.')

I wonder if your VIN accurately describes your car?

FYI -- If you didn't know, you can't run your S30 VIN through the CARFAX system because it will only accept a 17-digit VIN, which didn't start until the late 70s/early 80s. :(

thx

There were several letters in there. According to the Haynes book AND THE FSM:

GHLS30 [1] [2] [3] [4] ######

[1]

F = 5-spd gearbox

A = auto trans

(blank = 4 spd

[2]

U = North American model (U.S.A and Canada)

[3]

N = Canada model

V = California emmissions/spec

(blank) = fed. spec

[4]

C = Air conditioning

So mine should have been HLS30AUC 434056

It must have been one of the last 280Zs made. :) I winder what the serial number of the LAST 280Z was?

thx
