How about a Google Spreadsheet? That way it's all online and anyone can edit it simultaneously. I've started one here and published it to the world. You'll need a GMail account but they're free:

I'm not sure how this works, however, if someone else wants to edit it. I may need to give permission to each user individually. If so, just PM me with your GMail address.

Presumably due to the resurgence lately of this old thread several people have PM'd me recently asking for permission to edit this spreadsheet. Since it's a lot of work to make people ask me for permission, add them to the list, and then have them go login I decided to look for an alternative. I found something called EditGrid that seems to allow public read/write access without logging in. I created a login for myself and uploaded the current spreadsheet here:

Can some of you try to enter some new data and see if the collaboration part works?

Just uploaded the parts car Will and I tore apart. Seems to work fine, though I think it odd that there isn't a "save changes" option. It did keep my additions though, so all appears well.

Perhaps this should remain on the front page so that all will see it and hopefully add their data to it.

It looks like several people have made changes. As you can see I added the link to my signature; strangely enough that signature change seems to affect all of my previous posts.

MikeW, I added mine, but when I go back thru your link they don't show up. If I go thru you email invite, they do show up. Not sure what that is about. GaryD

I see your entries in the Google spreadsheet. Perhaps you're confused by the fact that I switched over to a different spreadsheet that allows public edits without me having to individually give people access rights. The new spreadsheet is here:

Mike It has been a while since I checked out the site and read up on what's going on so I am sure I missed a lot lately. On your spread sheet I read Spridal shows 903 as build date 9/69. I have 913 and it shows 1/70 as build date. I am wondering if there is a possibility mine could be a 69.I have read different post in the past telling of Z's being out of order on the assembly line

and would be tickled to death to a have a 69.Just checking?

Hi Ronnie,

It looks like Spridal's VIN is actually 9603 with a build date of 9/70

http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=22398&page=2

According to Carl's site, it looks like the highest VIN with a a 1969 build date found so far is #793.
