I Got a new rack unit for the 72 last week and finally got around to changing it. And what i surprise i need help .

The old rack wont fit through the space between the engine and the cross member. In the morning before i go to work im going to try unbolting the engine mounts and hoisting the engine up just a little so it will come out. Is this a good way to do it?

Or if anyone else knows a better way im all ears :nervous:

Bill, lifting the engine is the only way to get the old out and the new in.

Or, if you want more work, try droping the front cross member, just remember to hold the engine up (see first suggestion).

Yup I looked at it a few minutes ago. I think ill lift the engine.
