Posted July 6, 200519 yr comment_129762 the reason that HID conversion kits are illegal in most places is because an HID set-up + halogen housing = GLARE. in order for an HID set-up to be viable (and safe) the easiest way to do it (i.e. without R&D) is to retrofit the HID set-up from another car. i have been trying to find a car that has a headlight set-up that may fit in the 7" sealed beam are of the Z. i haven't been able to find a good source, so i was wondering if anyone had any better ideas.... anyay, here is an example of stock headlights versus an HID retrofit job. notice the clear cut-off and lack of glare.... ps, for more reading, check out this link to another one of my forums (you'd be hard pressed to miss me!) http://www.shatbox.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=893 Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/16477-hid-retrofitting/ Share on other sites
