Vicky-Now I know your car can't be classified as "Bone Stock"-the console palque is one thing, but an AA in the clock...That would be funny if it weren't so weird!

Will

Yes but it's such an easy fix when the clock quits working. Reach through the glovebox and change the battery..............and I can even borrow one out of the TV remote if need be! Or vice versa ROFL

Noooooooo...not the TV remote!!!! :(

I just took the quartz movement out of a 280Zx-30 minutes of work, a perfect fit, and a working clock!

Should I write up a tech article?

Will

Will, Absolutly, an article would be very welcome. While my clock still works, an accurate clock would be very welcome.

Thanks for the offer. Will I see this by Friday? Ha, just kidding. ROFL

If I can round up another ZX clock by then!

Will

Took mine to a watchmaker in the local shopping centre. Four days and a hundred bucks later and the dashboard sports a working clock.

Rick.

Pulled mine apart, removed the motor, connected it to a battery to check it worked. oiled all the pivots with sewing machine oil, put it back together. It now works.
