Bombings in London

I am concerned we haven't heard from Alan yet.

I'm sure we'll hear from him sooner or later. When I met with him in London he explained that he avoids public transportation and willingly pays the extremely high fees associated with keeping a car in the city.

Absolutely terrible, the more we hear about terrorists the more it just doesn't make sense. From news broadcasts it seems hte medical emergency teams did their job very quickly and effectively - thankyou to these men and women. I hope all the members of this board and their families are OK.

It makes absolute sence if you are of there mind set. They are at war and view nonbelivers , non muslum , to be infidels and simply they hate us and our life style. NOW HAVING SAID THIS . Not all Muslums are of this belief . The majority are pease loving people . It's the radicals that are causing all the death and distruction. We need to support our leaders and law inforcement . In the US it would help to close the borders, but this will be difficult politicly . We will after we get hit again and some more people are killed. :(

I've just got back into London after being away working on location for several days. A big thankyou to all those who expressed concern. Myself, my family and my friends are all safe.....

It was quite surreal to hear about all the events that were unfolding so close to my home whilst I was around 100 miles west of them. As MikeW knows, the bomb on the Underground train near Russell Square was around half a mile from my house, and the bus bomb was just a short walk away from that ( virtually outside the front doors of my bank.... ).

When I got home this morning, I had to take a few detours around streets that are still cordoned off as part of the forensic investigations. Sadly, it seems as though the death toll will rise further as the true scale of the destruction in the Russell Square to Kings Cross Underground incident is revealed.

Once again, my thanks to those who expressed concerns.

Alan T.

I'm certainly glad that you're personally safe in light of the tragic events so close to home. I know that the people of London will get through this just as they have in the past. I already have plans to be back there in September and will not let this deter me.

If you turn a few pages of the history books I am sure it is a bit more deep seeded and controversial then hating someones lifestyle, maybe hating what other countries have done to their own may be a bit closer to the money.

It is still inexcusible and terrible, but this is the world that has been created.

I couldnt imagine the anger and the pain of being affected by such a tragedy, very sorry to hear it.
