So far my biggest place to get parts is Ebay. I did but some stuff from MSA thou Idk they are really expensive thou. I do have catalogs but i was wondering if you guys would have parts in pretty good shape that you were willing to let go for a good deal. I also have another question. I want to get the rubber peice that rubs on the window when your rolling it up. The one that keeps the water from going inside the door. Do the dealers still have that? That has to be new. The parts i'm looking for can be used but have to be in good shape. But there are a few i have to have brand new. Like all the weatherproofing stuff (i found some on ebay but havent got them yet), the body kit the wing (i got both brand new from MSA, AND IT COST TO MUCH THERE! :tapemouth) and the things that absolutly have to be brand new.

So if anyone has anything let me know!

You have a thirteen year old Mercedes and a seventeen year old BMW, and you think Z parts are expensive? Wait until you go to buy parts for one of them!

I knew the Mercedes would get cast aside for the Z-but I though it would be for the sheer driving enjoyment-not the cost of parts!

I think most of us have fought like the seagulls on "Finding Nemo" for ebay (parts and cars) already-ChrisA snatched a Rally clock from my grasp once-but he did turn me on to a Diaper Geenie(Thanks again, by the way!)-so it all worked out! A "for sale" and then "not" fairlady had all of our beaks through the sail not that long ago.

Many of us have been collecting parts from the Pick-N-Pull, and buying parts cars to get our bits. I think everybody wants the best parts they can find for their car. Several of us buy NOS whenever we can find them, and when Chloe was around, she took care of all of our needs(in terms of Z parts that is...).

The classifieds here, Ebay, the local junkyard, and Dumb luck are probably your best sources of used parts. The Vendor list also has good places to check for used, NOS, and Reproduction parts.

The parts are even more expensive for euros i know! beleive me i know! i'm still a bimmer guy at heart but i think there is still room for the z! So i know the prices for bimmer parts. i'm still new to zs. The thing is that i've already spent near $5000 without paint or body work so i know its a little late to be shopping around but its better lte than never. Thanks for the advice thou. I've tried a few junk yards and i've only found one z. and that was a 260. still i felt like i one the lottery. I pulled out some plasic interior parts in perfect shape (MSA had wanted $50 each) i got them for $2 each! so i think some luck helps too! Thanks anyway!

hmmm..........how do i put this? lets see NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! Who said anything about casting the benz aside? :finger: I'm still a euro guy. Once i drive this car, if it doesnt have the power i'm looking for, i'm gona try and locate an older M6 engine and drop it in there. With 6 ITB that thing will scream. A z body with a Bimmer heart. To me thats a tempting idea :devious:

Gee, I had a "want list" just like yours 3 years ago ...... $6,000 dollars later, it's much shorter. hang in there. Here's a tip, Many of the Nissan parts items being sold on ebay by vendors are still availible from Nissan. They buy them and resell at a profit. take a good look at the items offered again and again by the same vendor. That ebay $6.00 sale was purchased last week for $3.50 at Nissan.

If you want to go to all of the trouble to put a BMW engine in a Z, do it right and put in a late model 12 cyl-tons of upgradeability, more torque than you can shake a stick at, and wipe the floor with an M6 on a bad day whilts in dire need of a tuneup!

Strange, a BMW guy with a BMW that never runs and a Mercedes for a daily driver! Sounds more like a MB guy with a BMW!

The others are place holders for the Z-You'll figure it out!
