What besides headlites have you used relays for?

I have a '73 240 build date 8/73 and yes it is a '73 and it had no relay on for the fuel pump. Careful making definate statements. What year is your Z ?

Interesting, my 73 build date 11/72 does have relays, but that whole section is not part of the full front harness, may have been a dealer fix or add on??? Took me a while to figure out what it was all for, had to follow it back to the fuse box to figure it out!

Otherwise, Dave's product is definitely worth the money.

I've heard nothing but good things about Dave's product but for my application I'm not using any of the original plugs or headlights for that matter. So since I'm having to rewire anyway for new style plugs it's easier to just do it myself this time. Keeping orginality on this car is a point long gone...

I want to re wire with a hot rod kit and it lookes like a good idea.

it will keep everything simple.

my dash is a flat piece of sheat aluminum with the original gauges.

I figure the gauges can be kept but the switches might be a problem.

But I dont care, I want to replace it all any way (the combo switch is nice maybe I can make it work?)

1973 (build date 2/73) definitely has a fuel pump relay that looks very OEM. Maybe the E. pump in my car was added by a dealer using a different service kit than the one that a dealer used when adding a E. pump to your car? Remember, the 73 didn't have an E. pump from the factory, it was an addon to solve a problem.
