HI all,

Last night the wipers on the 240 popped the circlip, after pulling everthing out that had to be pulled, I was left with a collection of washers, a spring and some interlocking parts plus a broken circlip.

I searched the FSM for a exploded diagram so I could correctly assemble this, no luck either, does anyone have an exploded diagram of this assembly?

I've assumed RHD is the same as LHD....

Do a search for Carl Stahlnecker's (Bambikiller240) article on re-assembly of the pivots. It is probably the ONLY article you'll need.

I'm sure you could probably get the E-Clip you need to replace the circlip, I put on some new ones, as they didn't seem to fit well;, and I thopugfht they might fall off.

Unfortunatly it doesn't. Alan T provided an exploded diagram of the wiper assemby, what I need is the [a] exploded diagram of the motor arm connection to the main wiper arm.

I'm not sure that this will help...I hope it does. In the second picture you want to put the items on the short arm that comes of the wiper motor in order from right to left. Then on the first picture the long arm goes on first and then follow right to left again putting the remaining items on.

Incidently,

I noticed the clip that holds it, isn't a circlip after all.

Is this original? or did Nissan use a circlip?

Yes it is original, mine didn't have a circlip either. You can with a pair of needle-nose pliers bend it back. If you can find a e-clip that fits, I would recoment using that instead.
