July 24, 200519 yr Author comment_131786 Bemmerguy, I think what's happened here is a lack of communication. Some of the time the "old timers" are used to responding to calls for help by suggesting that the person look to vendors for parts, but forget that the person calling for help doesn't know the abbreviations for the vendors we use. MSA stands for Motorsport Auto. It's kind of like us "old timers" trying to understand highly abbreviated thread responses from young guys like yourself. KWIM (no what I mean)? If you don't understand something, say so and ask for clarification. There really is no such thing as a dumb question. We've all been there! Also, when someone signs up with the club, the rest of us somewhat expect the new guy to make an effort to help themselves by way of searching around the site, using a manual like the one offered in this site's store, and being gracious to the people who do help them out, by thanking them. This may be a "Z family", but no one here is obligated to answer a bunch of questions that could obviously have been answered with a quick search. Using all of the tools at your disposal will go a long way to successfully completing your quest for help, and getting along with everyone at the same time. Good spelling and grammer in your postings would help too.ok thanks. i'll try to remember that next time before i post a question. July 24, 200519 yr comment_131808 Sometimes, just hanging out and watching what topics other people bring up might answer your question. It's to your advantage to relax, use the search feature and listen in.thx Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/16665-how-do-u-polishing-ur-engine/?&page=2#findComment-131808 Share on other sites
July 24, 200519 yr comment_131811 I just met a guy at the cruise-in yesterday, and he has a business polishing parts. I think I'll take my valve cover over to him. July 24, 200519 yr comment_131828 bemmer they have catalogs at MSA get one, cause its a good catalog to look through for parts. That chrome cover is in there, and if you buy stuff from them, they send you seasonal catalogs (small ones in the mail) and that chrome cover is almost always in there.Just remember that chrome causes more heat in the engine compartment, something 240z's don't necesarily like.
