August 2, 200519 yr comment_132721 Did it run before you changed plugs, dist cap etc? If so check the lead wire that connects to the side of the distributor. It is possible that it either slipped off the spade connector or the connector broke inside the small cover on the end of the wire. I have had that happen. To look at the wire it looks good but you may have to slide the protector back to inspect the wire itself. If that all checks out start following the wire back from the distributor to coil to ignition.I hope this helps. Good luckBob Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/16769-no-spark-to-the-plugs-help/#findComment-132721 Share on other sites
August 2, 200519 yr comment_132735 Have you checked the point gap yet? Could be the points are either staying closed, or staying open. Have they been replaced, too? August 2, 200519 yr comment_132741 Disconnect the main wire from the distributor and set it next to a bolt (the strut nuts work great). Crank the car and see if you have spark there. Did you forget to put the rotor inside the distributor?
