After dissasembling and reassembling my fuel injection system ( for cleaning and replacing 1 fuel injector) i couldnt get it started. So i rechecked ALL of my connections and vaccum hoses. I cranked it for like 5-10 mins overall now but still nuthin! I checked the lines for gas and its definantly getting clean healthy gas, but i pulled the plugs to see if there was any fuel on em and only 1 cylinder looked wet. I would think after this much cranking and flooding of the engine there would be some gas on the plugsbut nooo... Anyways i went back and checked my connections for lets see... the 6th time? and everything seems good to go.. is there something im missing? what should i check? im bamboozled

Go to the local auto parts store and get a NOID light. It's used to check injector pulses. See if you are getting a pulse to your injector. They cost like $10 and will come in handy if you plan to do your own repairs on your Z.

well right now im kinda imobile ROFL but uhh im 99.9% sure im not gettin any power to the Fuel injectors.. Am i suppose to like prime the system or is there any special thing im suppose to do when i put it all back together? also the EGR... its just kinda chillen there do i need to do sumthin with it now that its not connected to the exhaust manifold? I tried it without crimping the line but it did the same thing the i crimped it so it would kind of be plugged and that did nuthin. Im kind baffled here... i dont get how this happened... nothing changed before i took it apart and put it back together...

sorry for the spam but this is by far the most annoying thing thats happened to me since ive been working on Z's I just rechecked EVERY connection for the fuel injection and only found 1 loose connection but it turned out that wasnt the problem... omg... i dont know what to do. I took it all apart labeled everything and put it back together without disturbing anything but a new fuel injector off a parts car.... I know im not gettin any power to the fuel injectors but i just cant figure out why.. any input would be great right now i think im beyond frustrated

DAMN, sorry to hear you still haven't figured it out. Well I don't know what your skill level is or what you have for tools but I think the only way to track down your problem fast is with a Multi-meter at the Transister Ignition Unit wires and follow the directions in the FSM to perform all the tests to pin point what the cause is. If you don't have a meter or FSM then you will be "bamboozled" for quiet a while :) You can't be without a FSM, fuel pressure gauge, Multi-Meter, or a Test Lite when owning a fuel injected Z

Good luck man hope you find the cause soon.

alright thanks for ur help dude... heh i guess im on my own here.. Anyways im sure its just sum stupid little thing that im not noticing and its VERY annoying. My skill level is moderate to high, however my tools are limited. I dont have many advanced tools however i do have some random very nice tools that i have no idea where they came from or when i used them :lick: I think ill just have to use process of elimination and just sit down and think of what ive down. This usually works however ive done it several times now ROFL

verify the injector harness, and that the power line to the EFI system is connected(iot has a plug right by the battery-I usess to unplug mine in college to be able to park my car outside the dorm overnight-engine will turn over like crazy, but will never start...
